Orada Adriatic is one of the leading Croatian producers of Mediterranean white fish, seabream and seabas. According to the company strategy, Orada Adriatic applied for and successfully received, the ASC certificate for all its nurseries, i.e. for 100% of its production. This certificate is issued by the independent auditor DNV GL Business Assurance Italia.
Orada Adriatic has also attained a certificate Chaine of Custody (CoC) for processed products and for the placement of ASC products as well.
ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) is an independend, non-profit and recognized organization that requires numerous rigorous obligations from the fish farms as well as the processors in terms of planning, developing and implementing systems of breeding and production. This provides a guarantee for the customers meaning the fish is produced in a socially and enviromentally responsible manner.
It also provides guidance of the aquaculture industry towards sustainability by standards that maintain quality of the water, prevent the spread of disease and parasites between farmed and wild fish, regulates feeding practices and fish food itself, protects sensitive areas of nature and ensures safety of the employees and their social rights.
